Using organic mandarins to help make sense of multiplication and division
I learnt division: We put the fruit into an array, and we saw 9 rows across and 5 rows going down. I know that 9 groups of 5 makes 45 or 9 x 5 = 45. By Will

ReplyDeleteI learnt a array and that 5 people get 9 each, so there are 45 mandarins altogether:

Amelia: i learnt how to do an array. It is when you put fruit into groups or rows. We had 5 down and 9 across and 5 x 9 = 45.
