Group 5: number talk : 22x5 =?

I liked Pippa's way to get 22x5. I liked it because it made sence for me and it was nice and simple. It was 20+20+20+20+20=100 and then she still needed to add the 2s so she did 2x5=10. Then she added the 100 and the 10 and that made 110. Danielle

10 times 5 =50 add another 10 times 5 =50 and 2 times 5 all = 110 By Sara J M

ReplyDeleteIt was hard trying to figure 22x5=? because we didn't know how to it was quite hard but we figured it out. OLIVIA W
ReplyDeleteI counted 22+ 22 = 44 and 44+ 44 = 88 + 22 = 110
You could do 22x5=? easier way by doing 22x5=? you split to 22 into 2 ,10 and 10.
ReplyDelete10 x 5 = 50 and 10 x 5 = 50 and 2 x 5 = 10 and altogether is 110
