2 digit multiplication

I learnt that if you split the two numbers in multiplication you have to times the 4 numbers eg. 23 times 49. 20 times 40 equals 800,20 times 9 equals 180, 3 times 20 equals 60, and 3 times 9 then add the numbers together. that's the answer!
I learnt a lot of new ways for 25x32 and I learnt that using the rectangle helps a lot!
